Store in a soft double-walled pouch. The material should be very soft like a fine velvet or cotton. Place one side (est 1/2 total length or pendent only) of the necklace or pendent on one side (or chain from the pendent) of the pouch then drape the rest of the necklace or pendent over the wall and placing on the other side. Store in jewelry box, storage box, jewelry drawer or in a safe location.
This will help keep the necklace or pendent from knotting up, keep from scratching and help from breakage.
Earrings:
Store in a soft double-walled pouch. The material should be very soft like a fine velvet or cotton. Place one earring on one side of the pouch and placing the second earring on the other side of the pouch keeping the wall to separate them. Store in jewelry box, storage box, jewelry drawer or in a safe location.

(each double-walled pouch should have a total of two items per pouch) Store in jewelry box, storage box, jewelry drawer or in a safe location.

Misc Items:
If something was not covered then follow the simple rule. The rule is if you have matching items, store them separately so they can't scratch, tangle, knot or break each other. Two items go in to a double-walled pouch, single items depending on side (necklace vs. ring) go in to a single pouch (ring) or in to a double-walled pouch (necklace). If you only have double-walled pouches for single items... that is fine. If you only have single-walled pouches... go out and purchase double-walled pouches. Better to spend a few dollars on pouches then spending hundreds refinishing your items.
