2000 - the J12 was created and the incredible adventure of this unique and beautiful timepiece began.

2005 - the J12 Tourbillon was released featuring the CHANEL O5-T.1 movement. The CHANEL O5-T.1 movement features an ultra-thin ceramic bottom-plate (2mm thick), the optical glass cage and the 18-karat white gold bridge.

2006 - the J12 Haute Joaillerie was set with 605 beautiful baguette fashioned diamonds. This exceptional new edition was met with rapid success.

2007 - Jacques Helleu revealed a new never before seen J12 model that combines the perfection of fine watchmaking and fine jewelry.

The dial constitutes two 0,3mm ceramic plates and 9 index diamonds where the Tourbillon unveils all its charm with 568 baguette-cut rubies literally embracing the bezel, the watch case and bracelet.

The effect is breathtaking: white gold, black ceramic and rubies shimmer and glisten on one of the most prestigious watchmaking complications which is without precedent. Only a single piece has been produced.

PakieMak's Review:
Simply unbelievable. Get the J12 with or without diamonds, small, medium or large, white or black, tourbillon or none and chronograph or not. What a designer timepiece.

Chanel “J12” Superleggera which was created by Jacques Helleu and is available in a matte finish with an ultra light black rubber strap. This combination is the first time both matte and strap have been used together. The sand blasted watch case gives the Superleggera a definitive black appearance.

45% lighter than the “J12” Chronograph in ceramic and very sporty, a lot lighter and distinctly masculine “J12” Superleggera timepiece.

41mm dual counter chronograph in ceramic and an automatic movement which is certified by “Le Contôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres” (COSC).

Tachymeter scale on ceramic engraved on the rotating bezel, date between 4 and 5, aluminum and ceramic screw down crown and push-buttons, sapphire crystal front and back, bracelet in aluminum and ceramic links, water-resistant to 200 meters.

PakieMak's Review:
There really isn't anything special about Chanel's J12 to purchase this timepiece before purchasing other timepieces. In other words, this really isn't a "first" or "last purchase" choice, but it is a choice. For those who are not connoisseurs, then this maybe a first choice.

Please don't get me wrong. This timepiece is hot. I am a Chanel J12 fan... especially the white ceramic. The size and feel of this watch is above par and the price is higher than where it should, but not enough to say "I'm being ripped off". Definitely a 6 to 6.5 on my scale of 1 to 10.
